Hotel Angleterre - Lausanne

This place suits me perfectly! The wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and outdoor pool make my stays good. I remember my first visit when the staff offered me a hot drink on a cold night. I can't wait to return for a city break!

It was surely a nice stay for holidays. Everything was perfect, superfriendly staff, exceptional views of the lake. The location was particularly good, very close to Ouchy-Olympic train station, in the good area. Plus it was 5 mins drive from Lake Geneva.

Staff helpful, room and facilities first class, breakfast excellent and top class restaurant for dining.

Rooms are nicely appointed. Reception staff was always available and very accommodating. Breakfast was included because I booked with Booked.net. Breakfast was very good. Transit pass included in room rate.

Booked a room with lake view. The hotel is at lake level, but it was difficult to get a room with a fabulous view of Lac Lemans (Lake Geneva) and the mountains. The first room had a partial view to the east and the next room (I requested a move to a room with a better view) had too much visual debris (restaurant awnings, cars, roadway, boathouse, etc) to see the natural view of lake and mountains. A room facing the lake on higher floor most likely would be best for view. Breakfast is very costly if it isn't included in room rate.

This was a fabulous hotel and it was made even better by the fact that we were upgraded to a junior suite. It was lovely to have a swimming pool and the restaurant was very good.

The only gripe we had were the number of steps we had to climb to get the building where we were housed. Once inside there was a lift, but it really wouldn't suit anyone with severe mobility issues.

Treated us well. Great location. Incredible Italian restaurant at hotel. Excellent breakfast. Strongly recommend with families and with older children. Safe and accessible to transportation.

The hotel is located on the lakeside in Ouchy what is just excellent. Also I liked my roon - it was big enough, you could even ride a bike there if you want to.

Our accommodations were excellent, and the included breakfast was especially delicious. We were thrilled to have a large bedroom and bathroom with air conditioning.

really good access to lakeside beauty and cultural gems

I appreciated the fantastic proximity to Le Port d'Ouchy and the Cantonal Botanical Museum and Gardens, made my city strolls good, allowing me to soak in the serene views of the lake while discovering lush greenery just moments away from my room. The hotel also offered a comfortable and spacious space perfect for single travelers like me. The restaurant prices felt a bit steep for what was on offer.

The location was very good, as was breakfast. Access to the Beau Rivage Spa next door was a real bonus - an excellent spa with great showers, useful given comment below.

My room was a dormer one in a building that was separate to reception/main building. The dormer room had many low beams and the showerhead could go no higher than shoulder height. It was a 30 step climb to this building from reception.

The lakeside location was beautiful and relaxing. The meals were delightful and the staff were really friendly and helpful particularly Yann who went out of his way to give us advice and assistance.

Couples looking for a luxury escape

The outdoor area by the lake is amazing, we spent hours just soaking in the view. Plus, the staff were accommodating, they even gave us free upgrades to our rooms, which reminded me of winning the lottery.

It definitely put a dent in the wallet, but honestly, it was worth every penny.
